North
American DataCom Announces Expansion of Internet and Data
Services Business
IUKA,
Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2001--Robert R. Crawford,
Chief Executive Officer of North American DataCom, Inc. (NAD)
(OTCBB:NADA - news), announced today the Company's plans to
expand its Internet and Data Services business to one hundred
twenty-nine (129) cities in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee.
In the coming months, this expansion will allow virtually
anyone in Mississippi, Alabama or Tennessee to have local
Internet access and/or Data Services, or at least a choice
of service providers. The expansion will complement the high-speed
Internet access and Data Services network that has been planned
for the under-served areas within the Southeast. This expansion
of service areas is part of the Company's commitment to offer
Internet access and Data Services to customers throughout
the Southern US region.
The
Company has an aggressive plan to offer Internet access and
Data Services to customers throughout the South over the next
6 months. "As we have stated on several occasions,''
said Mr. Crawford, "the need for North American DataCom's
(NAD) services has not diminished during the past 12 months.
We have had to adjust the timing for implementation of these
services as the economy and market has changed, and we are
now ready to proceed.''
The
Company's expansion supports its revised business plan, and
is expected to increase the Company's Internet and Data Services
business revenues very quickly. This expansion will provide
synergistic support for NAD's data storage services, broadband
connectivity and information technology services. The expanded
Internet and Data access will provide an additional benefit
for customers of the Company's Global PTX venture, who can
use the increased professional and application services. Global
PTX, LLC, is a joint venture with Infusion Software Group,
LLC, focusing on a wide range of application and private trade
exchange services.
Mr.
Jack Freeman, President of North American DataCom, expressed
his view of the benefits the expanded services will bring
to NAD's bottom line. "This expansion highlights the
Company's plans to increase revenue and establish market share
in our region,'' said Mr. Freeman. "We have reduced our
costs, and now it's time to focus on growing revenue.''
